About the program

Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) are community groups for college and university students interested in Google developer technologies.

Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their communities.

Where did GDSC start

GDSC was launched in 2017 as a pilot in India to help solve the challenges that university graduates were facing in securing employment in the tech industry.

Since then, the program grew in Indonesia and Africa. This year (2021) we are growing globally. From Asia to Africa; Europe, Japan, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and North America

We are currently in over 1200+ universities across the globe in 100+ countries!

Additionally, Google does not own or manage GDSCs. The GDSC chapters are independent communities.
